Dr. Derek R. Evans

Dr. Derek Evans studied neuroscience at BYU and psychology at SUU before attending dental school at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine, graduating with his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree in 2006. He has completed advanced training in cosmetic dentistry and implant dentistry. Dr. Evans loves to continue his education and is constantly searching for and learning new ways to serve his patients. Dr. Evans is a member of the American Dental Association®, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Academy of LDS Dentists. He has practiced in the St. George area for over 14 years. He believes in providing the highest quality of care while creating a positive experience for his patients. Dr. Evans loves helping and serving others through dentistry and achieves life-changing results through cosmetic dentistry each day. His focus is on the individual and on serving them in a calming and caring manner in order to meet their specific concerns. Dr. Evans and his wife, Lindsey, have four children. Outside of the office, he enjoys the many outdoor activities available in beautiful southern Utah.

Dr. Daniel Goold

My military service: After graduating from Dental School, I moved to Las Vegas to complete my 1-year AEGD (advanced education in general dentistry), where they taught me IV sedation, complex surgical procedures, endodontics, and simple orthodontics. I then moved to Germany for 2 years, where I worked with Military members and their family members living abroad. From there, I was stationed in England for 3 years doing the same thing, working on military members and their family members. My family and I loved living abroad and took every opportunity we could to travel all over Europe and Africa. Hobbies/ Free time Activities: Rock climbing, Snowboarding, Hiking, Camping, Boating, Traveling.

Dr. Brian Zwahlen

Dr. Brian Zwahlen has been working as a dedicated dentist at Gentle Dentistry for the past three years, specializing in providing compassionate and comprehensive dental care. He holds a DDS degree from UCSF Dental School (2000) and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from BYU (1996). He successfully runs his own dental practice in Modesto, CA for 24 years now. Dr. Zwahlen was inspired to pursue dentistry by his oldest brother, who is also a dentist. His brother’s dedication to helping people motivated him to enter the profession. His approach to dental care focuses on ensuring patients’ comfort and working as a team to address the dental needs of the community.
He is originally from Modesto but four years ago, Dr. Zwahlen moved his family to St. George, Utah, where he now works locally on Fridays while still managing his Modesto practice. His goal is to transition to working in St. George full-time. Dr. Zwahlen values the relationships he builds with his patients, especially in helping those who are anxious about dental visits feel comfortable.
In addition to his professional work, he is involved in community service, including regular trips to Guayaquil, Ecuador, to provide dental care to underprivileged children. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Zwahlen enjoys spending time with his family and playing sports like pickleball, and boating. He has been married for 29 years and has six children and one grandchild. Dr. Zwahlen is passionate about outdoor activities and maintaining an active lifestyle.
