But, there are tools and techniques in place that can rid you of (or severely decrease) the bad stench tied to your breath. Here we will go over how to beat bad breath.

First, brush your teeth, tongue, and floss daily.

Food debris and plaque buildup, as well as bacterial growth, are the number one reasons for bad smelling breath. By actively cleaning your mouth everyday, you have the best chance and having better smelling breath.

Second, stay hydrated.

Dehydration can lead to a plethora of negative symptoms within the body. One that is particularly unfortunate is that of stinky breath. Without enough water, your saliva production can be stalled or severely limited and this can lead to an irregular balance of bacteria and much smellier breath.

Third, avoid foods that cause bad breath.

Strong, pungent foods such as onions and garlic can leave behind an odor that lingers for hours strongly. Though these foods are healthy in moderation, it is wise to keep them off of your plate before important social events or social gatherings. This will prevent you from having sour smelling breath caused by the insanely smell foods!

Lastly, stop smoking if you are a smoker.

Smoking greatly disrupts the mouth’s ability to produce saliva that manages bacterial growth. In doing so, your mouth’s natural biome become disturbed and smelly, harmful bacteria are free to grow and take over. So, if you are a smoker, look into paths and support in quitting to get a chance at having your healthy, fresh smelling mouth back!
